Last weekend we had the penultimate round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Saint Jean D’Angely, France, it was also Jeremy his 252th GP. The St Jean d’Angely circuit first appeared on the Grand Prix calendar back in 1984. It was a very difficult weekend and one fast to forget. Jerre had a nasty crash in Time practice what caused him severe contusion on his right side, and brought him not further than a 17th position. In the qualifying race he had a decent start and could ride to a 13th position in a lot of pain.
In the first race our favorite Belgian rider took not a good start, thanks to his perseverance and a good race pace he gained positions lap after lap. But unfortunately Jerre was victim of a very bad crash when he was allready in 10th position, which forced him to retire. Jeremy was immediately transferred to hospital for medical checks. Jeremy still stand 11th in the World Championship standings.
Update about Jeremy; Jeremy has two broken ribs and a hemorrhage in a long from the rib fractures. He suffers a pinched nerv in his left shoulder that makes him have little feeling in his hand. Our favorite rider will get extra oxygen until Tuesday and needs to stay a few days in hospital for observation and for some more medical checks.
Get well soon Jerre !!!!!
