Just a week after the Swedish GP, the Beta SDM Corse Team took to the track in Finland at Hyvinkaa, the gp had not been held since 2014, a track with a sandy bottom.Jeremy in timed practice was unable to find a good lap going to set the sixteenth time. At the start of the qualifying heats Van Horebeek found a good starting point and thanks to an excellent pace he finished in twelfth place.
In race 1 Jeremy Van Horebeek did not have a good start losing several positions at the first corner, the strong Belgian driver with a race without sparing himself has recovered many positions proving once again his speed and this allowed him to hit the tenth place.
In the second heat another difficult start for Jeremy but fortunately after a few laps he found an excellent pace that allowed him to make a great comeback up to twelfth place. The Beta SDM Corse driver was catching up with the riders ahead of him keeping a very profitable race pace but unfortunately he was forced to retire due to a breakdown.
Jerre is in eleventh position in the world championship just a few points from the top ten, the team moves to France for the MXGP in Saint-Jean-d’Angély.
Big congrats to Tim Gajser who became MXGP World Champion !!!
Jeremy van Horebeek: “I have no words for this but I give myself a lot of respect to keep doing what I’m doing, knowing I’m much better and deserve more then this ! It’s difficult to accept but it’s out of my hand … P10 and DNF due to a mechanical problem today #countingthedays #team89“
