MXGP 09 Spain

After a weekend off, we had the 9th round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in intu Xanadú – Arroyomolinos for the MXGP of Spain. The hard-pack circuit in Arroyomolinos, about 30 km from the capital city Madrid, was first introduced to the MXGP calendar in 2020. We must say that it was a MXGP to forget fast for Jeremy and the SDM Corse Team. Till saturday all went well, setting 13th time in time practice, we saw a solid performance by “The Jerre”, ending 12th in the qualifying race. But during the races on sunday it went wrong for our Belgian factory rider.

Jeremy started very carefully in the first race, due the watered track what made the surface very slippery. After he found his rythm and sitting in 14th position, Unfortunately he was forced to stop due a bike problem. Also in de second race he was forced to give up after a few laps with the same bike problem while sitting in the top 10. Up to Ernee next weekend for the MXGP of France.

Jeremy van Horebeek: “Just don’t know what to say … must be a joke but not a funny one ! With the high temperature and altitude I had some bike problems so 2 DNF’s where the results of today ! Really disappointed that this is happening but it’s all out of my power and controle .. fun must be the key in racing but there is not a lot of fun about it when things go this way ! Anyway big thanks to @sdm_corse_official for the support !
