MXGP Belgium

Last weekend we had Jeremy his home MXGP in the deep sand of Lommel. It was the 14th round of the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship and one of the toughest GP of the world championship. Here in Lommel team manager “Johan Boonen” announced Team Belgium for the MXDN in Assen. Jerre will lead the team riding the MXGP class, Jago Geerts will ride the MX2 class and Kevin Strijbos rounded up the Squad representing Belgium in the Open class.

We know all that the MXGP in Lommel is one of the toughest of all. Jerre put down a 5th place in qualifying race on saturday, what was great for his startposition on sunday. In the first race on sunday he came well out of the starting gate, but in the first corner his SR Honda Motoblouz slipped away and lost a few positions and came trough in 10th place. Once he found his rythem and the good flow in the deep sand he passed Simpson and Strijbos for 8th place and a lap later he moved up to 7th with a pass on the Frenchman Paulin. Halfway the race he flew past Jonass for sixth. Jerre was really on fire new on his stock SR Honda Motoblouz and he closed the gap on Tonus and Seewer, he attacked tonus a few times for the 5th place, but tonus could refused these attacks every time. In the last laps he secured his 6th place. Febvre won the race a head of Gajser and Coldenhoff. In the second race Jerre tooked almost the holeshot and came out of the start in 2nd position. In the first lap he lost a position when Anstie passed him. Jeremy was holding on a very high speed in the deep sand of Lommel and with 5 laps to go Coldenhoff was pushing very hard for his 3th place, but Jerre made a little mistake and had to let pass Coldenhoff and Febvre so he felt back to a 7th place. Jeremy had lost his rythem an d had to let pass Jasikonis also and ended the race in 7th place and went 5th overall in the Gp. Jeremy want to thank all the Belgian fans that support him !!!!!
