MXGP Latvia

After Russia we are in “Kegums” Latvia for the 9th round of the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship. The Latvian light sandy circuit is only 50 kilometres from the capital city Riga, the MXGP of Latvia celebrate their tenth anniversary as we came here in 2009 for the first time. In 2012 Jeremy archieved here his best result, he ended 2nd overall in the MX2.

On saturday it went all more than great for the Honda SR Motoblouz rider. He booked a 3th position in free practice and went 4th in time practice and in the qualifying race on the sketchy, sandy circuit in Kegums. This 4th position in the qualifying race gave him a more than great gate pick for the races on sunday. In the first race he came by on position 9 in the first lap. After a few laps he had found the right pace on his 450 CRF Honda SR Motoblouz and could take over the Italian Montecelli what put him in 8th position. The following laps he could close the gap on Gajser, because Jasikonis had a bike issue, Jerre could take 7th position. Herlings won the race in front of Tonus and Cairoli. The second race Jerre came out the first corner in 6th position. The Honda SR Motoblouz rider had found immediately a fast rythem and could take over Montecelli and Jasikonis for 4th position. After a few laps he closed the gap on the Swiss rider Tonus. However he could set down the fastest lap of the race, Jerre couldn’t put up an attack for that third place. After a little mistake he lost a position to Febvre and ended the race in 5th position. Gajser won in front of Febvre and Seewer. The Slovanian Gajser won the GP of Latvia before Febvre and Tonus, Jeremy ended as 5th in the Gp in the World championship standing he goes from 9 to 8. Next weekend we went to the famous Track “Talkessel” in Teutschenthal Germany.
