MXGP Russia

After the MXGP in France we had a weekend break and now the FIM Motocross World Championship caravan is heading to Orlyonok Russia. Here in Orlyonok near the coast of the Black sea we return for the third year in a row at the hilly, hard pack, very slippery and high-speed circuit to host the 8th round of the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship.

Under hot and sunny conditions Jeremy his results didn’t go as hoped on saturday, so he ended 20th in time practice, 18th in time practice and ended the qualifying race in 13th place. During the race day on sunday it was even hotter as we had temperatures above 30 degrees, so very tough conditionds to race. At 2 minutes before the start of the first race Jeremy his holeshot kit on the Honda SR Motoblouz broke down, because of that he tooked a very bad start and came out in 20th position. Despite this bad start the Honda SR Motoblouz rider could archieved a well diserved 16th place on this very fast and slippery circuit here in Russia. Gajser won the race before Tonus and Febvre. The start was way better in the second race with a 13th position in the first lap. Jerre had a few good hard battles for holding that 13th place and in the second last lap he could make the pass on the Italian Monticelli for position 12. Gajser won also this race in front of Tonus and Seewer. After all we are happy that Jerre is still in one piece after the races on this very dangerous track and we can say that he had the speed of the top 5 riders this weekend, so we are getting closer to where we want belong. Jeremy end the Russian MXGP in 13th place overall and stands 9th in the FIM Next weekend we will have the 9th round in Latvia.
